A plain-English explanation of what cookies feweb.uk uses, why, and how to manage them. No jargon, no tracking we're not telling you about.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They're used for everything from remembering your preferences to tracking you across the internet. Some are helpful. Some are not.

This policy covers cookies and equivalent browser storage (like localStorage), because the principle is the same: a bit of information about you saved on your device.

2. How we use cookies on feweb.uk

We keep it minimal. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cross-site behavioural tracking of any kind. The only things we store are what's needed to make the site work and to remember your choices.

Cookies and storage we use

If we add anything else in future — for example, privacy-respecting analytics so we can see which pages are useful — we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

3. Third-party cookies

feweb.uk loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google Fonts may receive your IP address as part of serving those fonts. Google states that Google Fonts does not set cookies for typical font requests. See Google's privacy notes on Google Fonts.

We don't embed any social widgets, ad networks, or heat-mapping tools that would set their own cookies.

4. How to manage or remove cookies

You're always in control of cookies. You can:

Blocking essential cookies may mean parts of the site don't work exactly as intended — but for feweb.uk, the essentials are limited to remembering your cookie choice, so you'll be fine either way.

5. Contact forms and your data

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect the details you provide (name, email, business name, and anything you choose to share). We use those details only to reply to you. We don't add you to any mailing list or pass your information to third parties.

If you'd like us to delete an enquiry from our records, email hello@feweb.uk and we'll remove it within 30 days.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

7. Updates to this policy

If we change how we use cookies, we'll update this page and refresh the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes may also trigger the consent banner again, so you can re-review your choice.

8. Get in touch

Questions about this policy or about anything data-related? Email hello@feweb.uk — we'll reply personally within one working day.
